I have a 4.5 moth old GSP that I can not get house broken. Has anyone had this experience? This is not my first dog but I have never had this issue. Any help would be great.

A lot more information is needed. Where does he sleep? What's is eating sleeping schedule? How often is he going to the bathroom and is it a lot or a little? Maybe something health related.

Are you using a crate to contain the dog when in the house? They usually will not mess the crate IF you do your job and let them out often enough and feed them on a schedule and have them out asfter feeding.

He sleeps in his kennel at night when I am home, when I am not he sleeps in in the bed with my wife. Eats twice a day. Never poops in the house only pee. Also never pees in the kennel or at night in bed. I think it is behavioral. I am lost at what to do.

I don't crate him when we are at home which is almost all the time ( my wife doesn't work). He has free rain during the day usually and gets let in and out constantly.

Need to go back to basic house training with him.
Only have him loose in the house when you are in the same room with him.
You have to be watchful enough to break the habit.
Pick up some cleaning products that gets rid of the urine smell, and clean every where he may have peed.

Shopping with your husband is like hunting with the game warden.
Experience is what you get, when you didn't get what you wanted.

Yep. I have griffon that I had to do this with. Had the smallest bladder of any dog I had ever come across. At about 6 months he got the hang of things and now "asks" to be let out.

Good advice so far but....... You need to teach him to go on command. I use tinkle but you can use any word you please. You can do it off or on the leash. Leave him in the crate for an extended period of time. Take him out and give him the word. Also, use the word when you see him go outside on his own. This is about the only time I use treats.

Quail hunting is like walking into, and out of a beautiful painting all day long. Gene Hill
