But he was at the wrong angle, why didn't he wait, he could have been closer... blah blah blah. Now that's what I'm talking about! You know your shot, your confident and you friggin shoot! I would have begged to have 95% of my hunters take that shot when I was guiding. Good job kid!

Glad he made a good shot are he would have never found him. Actually the preferred shot of most single callers. Saw two elk good down in one week two years ago with same shot. If you can't hit a 14" target at 25 yards you shouldn't be bow hunting. Neck/chest area on a elk is almost same size kill zone as a broad side hill country WT. Everything behind that sternum is vitals

very nice, ol' elk acted like he was going to run but i think that kid tied his feet the ground with that arrow placement. id take that shot too!
