Looks like a fake photo to me. Show me a pic of the guy sitting on the pig, alongside it, in front of it.... then maybe I'd believe. But when the hunter is hiding behind the animal, naw.

Weight, no clue.

Pic however is a textbook case of forced perspective. Shooter is a good 8-9' behind that hog. Why would I believe anything the shooter has to tell me when he's already proven willing to "doctor" the photo?

BTW, 10' internet rattlesnakes don't exist in real life either.

Yep. It is all about the angle of the shot. I can make a 150lb hog look like a monster by the angle of the shot... here are two 150 LB hogs that look much bigger due to the low camera position:

I don't understand why he didn't mount the new 'record' pig. That he took meat from it would not negate having the head mounted.

Interesting.

If the perspective in that photo was not "adjusted" and the man was immediately behind that hog it would weigh much, much more than 500lbs. It's a cool photo and I'd take a pic like that if one of kids shot it but I wouldn't play it off as being a certain amount of lbs. It would just be a cool picture of a happy kid.
