I was wondering if anybody hunting in Milam county has been seeing any turkeys?
I am hunting a couple miles north of San Gabriel.Last spring was the second season on our lease and actually got to do some hunting, actually called up two gobblers within 15 yards, also heard them in the area every weekend during the spring season. But they seem to have moved away. We have not seen or got any pics for some time now.

I was out at the lease this past weekend. After talking to the ranch hand I was disappointed to hear that he hadn't been hearing any yet. We were out walkin around Saturday afternoon when I heard a couple gobblers on our neighbors place to the west. Went to go and see if we could get a look at them. Was walkin the fenceline so focused on seein the birds that I got the fright of my life. Walked right into 3 rattlesnakes sunning themselves. Luckily one let me know before I actually stepped on one of them.
