I have a wood duck I was going to have mounted, but I have seen people on here asking for ducks to practice on. I am short on cash at the moment and would give this duck away for someone to practice on as long as I get the completed project.

I'm just giving someone a chance to practice, if they mess up so be it, but if it works then yes I would like to see the finish result.

Well, good luck with that bud. If it was me I would have a hard time just doing it for free. Most inspiring taxidermists will most likely be able to shoot a few ducks a year to practice on themselfs. I'm sure there are plenty of taxidermists that will take a woodie but your asking a little much by wanting it back for free.

I would buy it back if they did a good job. I was just offering it up to anyone who wants to try it out and won't try me the same price as an established taxidermy. I wouldn't expect anyone to do that much work for free lol

Well... here is my suggestion... Wrap it up well (double bag it in plastic and get as much air as possible out)and keep it in a freezer. It will be good for several years. In the meantime save up some money, maybe a couple bucks a week, and then take it to a taxidermist who knows what they are doing.
That is unless you shoot tons of Woodies and this isn't anything special. If that's the case, just give it away and don't expect it back. Buying, selling, or trading waterfowl is illegal (that's why you see people asking for practice birds sometimes)so you have no fear of giving your duck to someone and them selling it to someone else but Wood Ducks are one of the harder birds to do right and you probably won't want it back anyways...
Just my 2 cents

I have 2-3 ducks in my freezer that someone can have to practice on, and I dont want them back.
