Hope to go on an Elk hunt with Sneaky's crew...If he'll have me after all the Bill Nye vs Ham talk. Haha, you'll have to try harder than that to hurt my feelings. We'd love to have you join us. Glad you feel that way Buddy. My bark is a lot worse than my bite, I promise. I come with good references too and can cook like no ones bidness. Sounds like a once in a lifetime trip.

A close buddy of mine (for about 45 years) has come into a lot of $$$$ from the Eagle Ford oil/gas stuff. He's looking for about 1000 acres north of Uvalde. I am sure he will remember I was his friend all those years when he was poor! Hopefully from 2014 on I can be his doe and cull buck man!!

i am trying to save up for something out of state for 2015, DIY mule deer somewhere hopefully.... 2014 will just be about keepin after a couple nice bucks that have been eluding me and trying to get my 6yo on his first deer.
If I send my neighbors a text and ask them to give me feedback on my lawn and plant rye into a giant dong pattern, I'm probably going to get some less than positive feedback. Same goes here.

Hogs this month in TX. Elk and Muleys in NM during Sept/Oct. Possible deer hunt in Oct/Nov in TX. King Salmon in AK this July. Plus all the bass fishing I can handle this summer at Ray Bob, Grapevine, or Fork. My schedule if full!

Depends on where I end up working at the time. I will be going 'back on the road' doing 6 to 13 week travel jobs as soon as my wifes health gets better. Thought it was going to be about the 20th of this month, but wife had a surgery about a week ago to close a defect from third surgery. Had a fistula (artificial opening between two body parts). In her case she had a connection between her intestines and the skin (kind of like a colostomy). That surgery has went south fast (was OK at first, then ......). She is now in worse shape (wound draining even more than before). See doctor again this next Tuesday Right now I have two local hunts scheduled- snow geese the second weekend in March and a turkey hunt the first / second week of May (both here in Missouri). Plans are to be in Iowa or South Dakota in the fall for possibly a Pheasant hunt. Besides that ... again depends where I end up.
CHILDREN ARE OUR FUTURE FOR TOMORROW. INVEST IN TOMORROW BY TAKING A CHILD HUNTING OR FISHING TODAY.

If he doesn't, just let your friends at THF shame him in to letting you hunt his new place. That ought to do it.

I'm going on my first ever elk hunt, a DIY in SW Colorado with an OTC tag. And I also landed a new whitetail gig (SCORE!!) in NE Kansas on a 1000 acre ranch owned by a friend of my wife's family (Washington Co, about 10 miles from Nebraska).
Also planning to get into turkey hunting this spring. I've gotten permission to hunt several different ranches in Coryell and Lampasas counties.

I've hunted spring bears 3 years hand-runnin'. Not this year. Spring hunting will be in Argentina, where it is fall in the southern hemisphere.

Hope to have my 10yo on some coyotes and hogs for the first time this year.
Also a first for me I hope to have both girls dove hunting with me. The oldest usually does but my 8yo will get her first real shotgun this year.

Trying to put together an Axis hunt for myself this spring. Just signed onto a new deer lease today that I'm stoked about and hoping that I get drawn for NM archery Elk this year.
