Author Les Adams

I have recently finished reading this small book regarding the history of gun control legislation. It is well written and goes back to the attempts of European rulers to disarm the people. The book also goes into just why the 10 Bill of Rights were created and added to the Constitution. Even in those days, a lot of the members of original Congressional Congress feared an armed populace. It also lists a lot of the Supreme Court cases regarding gun control attempts and writings by the original framers to clarify what "a well regulated militia" means.

Several Legal cases, State and US Supreme rulings are presented that agree that the police have no duty to protect the public. That public is you, me and our families.

In early Colonial days, citizens were required to be armed against intruders. The local statues discussed just why neighbors and the authorities should be not compelled to protect a person who chose to not defend himself and his family.

In early Greece citizens were required to keep arms and be proficient in their use.

This is the best one I've read. It's on Amazon and is inexpensive.
