We're setting up feeders on our new land, 4 corn and 1 protein feeder. We want to keep the aoudad, mouflan, hogs, etc out of the pins.

What height fence is recommended around the protein and corn feeders?

Hog panel. Round pen. 10-12 panels. T-posts every 8 ft.

A 32" hog panel will keep out the vast majority of mouflon sheep and hogs. They do not make a fence tall enough to keep out aoudads and still let deer jump in. Build the pens as large as you can afford.

Stx you think they would walk through a barbwire fence? that was spaced just enough for deer to crawl through? wont keep the pigs out just wondering though since they are a good bit bigger...iv had it work on cows even calfs and boar goats. but boar goats are dumb as a rock.

Aoudads can jump an 8' fence it they want to. Seen little ones jump a 52" net/barwire fence standing flat footed. I watched an aoudad ram that I jumped in a small header canyon in West Texas run up a steep grade that had a net wire fence running parallel to it on the grade. The aoudad ram just ran to the fence knelt down and put his head/horns under the net wire and lifted it up as he slid under it.

I had to go to regular 52 inch wire panels with three cutouts per pen to keep cattle from attempting to jump into the pen. Hog panels were a disaster. A big boar hog will never even notice your shiny, new barbed wire fence. bang
