I work for a wholesaler and my dealers are telling me that the E-file system worked the way it was intended for about a week. The numbers they are giving me is 11-13 months on E-file and 14-18 months if mailed in. This is just what I've been told. If others are still getting them fast, I would love to know about it so I can tell my dealers.

www.nfatracker.com. Best way to keep up with nfa item waits and trends! You can see that just between different examiners, some are running three months longer then others on passing stamps thru, which is ridiculous. Last year my first suppressor took six months. They cashed my checks for a yhm .30 titanium and a aac element 2 at the end of june 2013. I talked to my dealer last week and he said that i should have them in hand next month hopefully. He said the efile is at 4 months right now. Hes been spot on on wait times, they sell the heck out of nfa items along the coast, but who the hell knows, is always the question when dealing with the government. We need a movement to bomb the hell out of our congressmen and batf with emails complaining about the huge wait time on these items. Something has to be done, because it will just get worse and worse. It should take no time, to go thru the paperwork and background checks. Bunch of bs if you ask me! Sorry for the rant brothers!

11 MONTHS!!! HOLY CRAP, I didn't need to hear that. I am at 5 1/2 months and only half of the way there. Grrr!
I used Silencer Shop too, they sure make things easy.
I called to check on an approx wait time and they said 15 months. They are turds if they take that long.

You should walk away from any dealer who is against eForms or tells you they take longer than 4 months. They are idiots. eFiling a Form 1 or Form 4 (through dealer) takes around 100 days for approval. I have done both for an SBR and suppressor. I am still a month out from receiving my Form 4 snail-mailed 10 months ago. Transfers take a lot less time as well. If you have a trust or corporation,or having an NFA item transferred, do the eForm.

Toxarch, I keep hearing all of this hype about eFiling etc. I think that would be AWESOME to get your form back in 100 days...trust me. I probably will want another can someday. However, the proof is there on the NFA tracker. 100 days and you are about 1/3 of the way there. If you see one on the tracker ...let me know! Until then, if I was a betting man, I would say 10 months is a GOOD estimate.

Think about how ridiculous this is. Wouldn't it be great to send everything in, and wait 1 month?? I can only hope for that day!!

There are several on NFA tracker right now....Efiled on 9/11/13, Approved 12/18/13. Another one: Efiled 10/28/13, Approved 2/7/13, Another Efiled 1/10/14, Approved 2/5/14....less than 30 days!! There are more.

Yes, the paper forms are taking quite a while, but Efile seems to be going quickly. I sure hope so because I have 4 stamps pending!

I should know something soon as well. I had one Efiled on 11/4/13 and two more Efiled on 12/4/13. Coming up on 100 days for the first one....

Like I said, I already did 2 of them. Mine were about 91 days. And NFA Tracker shows they are still pretty quick. Just looked at NFA Tracker and pulled these off the most recent approvals:

You can never pick them up. Why?? Because that efile system must be some shady loophole system. Anything that sounds too good to be true.....well you get my point. 10 months is the wait time to get your STAMP back. I call BS.....but what do I know?

Lol, it's not a shady loophole system. You can go online and do it yourself. I have done 3 myself for SBR's. You create a login, fill out the online Form 4 or Form 1, and submit it with your $200 payment along with the appropriate trust or corporation paperwork.

All those forms u are posting are from when they first started the efile system and was tryin to see how well it worked and cranked a few out pretty quickly . I hope they keep the pace up on them but I doubt it

This thread is just making me laugh now. Seems like everybody is an expert! All I can say is that suppressors are fun! Kids, wifes, whoever can enjoy shooting without hearing protection. Also you kind of feel like a bad a**!
