Anyone try it? I'm not a huge duck fan but I'll always eat what I kill. Thought cooking it in the crockpot might keep some moisture in better and soak in a decent flavor. Any recipes worth trying?

Duck is great if you cook it right. I like mine smoked over mesquite the best. Brine if for 24 hours then they're pretty good no matter how you cook it. Just don't go past medium on them.

gumbo looks good. You can always make jerky or some kind of sausage too.

I've followed crockpot recipes/ seasoning packs for pulled pork, and have had crockpot pulled duck that turns out decent.

I've never tried them in a crock pot...but I'm not a big fan of crock pots when I have a BBQ pit that makes things taste way better. To me a crock pot is what you use for easy cooking but not always the best tasting cooking. For example...I've made pulled pork in a crock pot and I've also made it on my bbq pit...just has a better flavor coming from my pit.
