I know they range depending on the ranch but I'm hoping to take my dad out on one next season.I don't know how much these normally run but we were wanting to spend under a 1000 per person for a 2-3 day hunt with lodging a buck maybe a doe and a night of varmint or hog hunting. Since this will be my first hunt and his in 15+ years i really don't care what the deer look like its more just getting a shot at one. I don't know if this is reasonable or not so if any one could shine some light on this i would really appreciate it.

I really don't have much experience on pricing of cull/management hunts, but under $1k for a buck, doe, some hogs and varmints seems pretty cheap. Good luck to ya'll

Thank you for the help. 1000 isn't set in stone i thought it was somewhere to start, since i don't know the market at all.

A buck and a doe will bone out to maybe 100 lb of meat. That's $10 a pound. I think I would buy select beef.
They make ammo specifically for hunting for a reason!

Its not for the meat its really just to go out and hunt. The meat is a plus but its really to go out and shoot our first deer

I was quoted $1000 for a buck or four does last year. That a friendly price, but I politely said no. To me, if I'm doing you a favor I'm not putting out two weeks' pay to do it. We found a place we could hunt free, the wife shot a buck and I shot a doe. Instead of sitting in a blind for one day and being out $1000, we got a whole place to ourselves for four days. It was a tiny spot that the owner doesn't lease and sometimes let's people hunt. The neighbors shoot everything that moves, so quality was not impressive, but neither are cheap cull. I'm not into paying to cull or paying trophy fees. I wanna lease a place someday, but not a place with trophy fees or HF. I think the price you found is within reason in the market, but it wouldn't interest me.

I was using 40 for the Doe and 60 for a cull buck. Even if you add another doe it's not worth that for a meat hunt. Now for $500 it may be.
