Besides gun, ammo, targets, rests - what supplies do you take to the range. Found myself needing a screwdriver and some hex bits so I will be bringing a tool kit next time. Looking for compact cleaning kit as well. All suggestions welcomed!

What Kevin takes...plus a staple gun and a near-empty box of staples (just once I'd like to discover I need to load staples before I'm at the 100- or 200-yard line!), a greasy rag in a baby food jar, pens & pencils, and a host of other crap I'd only need if I didn't have it with me.

Besides the Otis listed above, any other cleaning kits/products you're partial to? Saw the Bushmaster Squeeg-e kit at my walmart - nice and compact just no experience with the Squeeg-e system. Working on my toolkit -think I have everything just working on packing it up nice and compact.

push pins and masking tape in case you run out of staples, colored garage sale dots
I use the dots on ammo cans or boxes and on the gun.... green dot on 223 with load info on it on the gun, then same color dot on the ammo. Red dot on 7.62 ect. I also use them as a bulls eyes. I also generally have a roll of xmas paper in case a scope is way off I use the back and a dot for a target. And girls ponytail hair bands... when a gun is sighted in ready to hunt I put a green band on the scope, if a gun needs to be checked or sighted I put a red one on.

Rifle(s) Kestrel Range Finder Impact Data Books for every rifle Spiral for load development data to be recorded Chrono Tripod Ears Eyes Roll of white painters paper (500 yard load development) Duct tape (make a cross at 500 for POA) Shooting mat or tarp Quick Shade or umbrella if summer time
Since I built my own range and have been working on it for three months it's just rifle, ammo, data book.
I have stock packs on all three bolt actions. In the pack is a small excel DOPE chart and a tiny spiral notebook. I write down cold bore shots, and when I check zero and adjustments made. I find myself using the little spiral more than any other type of documentation medium. Since it's ALWAYS with the rifles.
