Has anybody shot one of these guns, whats your opinion. I am looking at possibly getting a Mossberg MVP in the .308. Thanks

I have one of the first run released. I like it enough that I built it into an integral suppressed rifle. It's a varmint gun not a high end precision rifle, so it really depends on your intended use. It's nice to just slap in a 20 round AR mag and shoot the cheap steel cased ammo for cheap plinking. The trigger is a pretty good copy of the Savage trigger. It's one of the rifles everyone always wants to shoot. My fiancé shooting

I've got one chambered in .223. Nice rifle. No complaints, except it's supposed to accept aftermarket AR mag's, and mine does not.

I bought the first one I saw. Shoots good. Takes my mixed AR mags. Zero problems. I like it.

I plan on using it to hunt whitetail deer and hogs and I have a Dpms Ar-10, .308 and thought it might be handy since I already have the mags for it.

Do any of them come with iron sights? I looked at one and almost pulled the trigger, but the lack of iron sights made me put it back and get something else. Already had the Ruger GSR.

I handled one in Academy last night that iron sights. It is the model with the black plastic stock - think it was $549.

I love my MVP 223 Varmint. I want to get the MVP Varmint 204 and the 308 also. MVP 223 is fun to shoot and accurate. Plus it really looks good without buying an after market stuff.

Anyone herd anything about rebarreling a Mosberg MVP into 300 black out? I just thought about it, and I think it would make a good hog gun in 300 black out and suppressor ready. If anyone has any experience or know anything about it, please let me know.

If anyone has any experience or know anything about it, please let me know. Mossberg makes on in 300 blk but it is a 1:10 twist. The MVP uses a barrel nut like a Savage so it's easy to change out the barrel. The barrel shank thread is smaller than a savage so it would have to be a custom barrel. I know the thread is 7/8 diameter but I can't remember if its 24 or 28 TPI. I made a barrel nut for mine that is the rear mount for the suppressor but it's been a while.

I had one MVP in .223, no complaints, it accepted several different brand magazines without any issues. Fellow wanted it for his son so I made him easy deal.

I had an issue with mine accepting pmags.. Sent it back to Mossberg and they sent me a brand new rifle. Works great now.

They are great guns. Put a good glass and you have a great killing tool.
