I don't always shoot deer, but when I do, I prefer B&C's.

Welcome to the insanity. Only rule is, never name a lake or ask for a lake to hunt. Some folks get snarky.

Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting.......holy kaka.....What a Ride!

I'd like to add to the above,
to prevent some future redundancy lol:
1.) if you want a duck call, get a whistle, or whatever muddyfoot suggests.
2.) if you want a dog, get a lab
3.) if you want to know about a guide to hunt with, there are several on here that will treat you right and show you a good time.
4.) Air boats are the best
5.) if you want a gun, follow the "B" rule
6.)Some people will only post to get a reaction (trolling), most everything said here is all in fun, so don't let someone acting tough behind a computer screen, or giving you a hard time ruffle your feathers. Also in advance, and I might catch some crap for this but if your going to post pictures be sure to disable the locator on your phone and photobucket.
anyone else care to expand?

Get a nice pair of waders and a layout blind... Other than that it's easy you just don't name lakes and have fun.

Knew a guy that named a lake once. Unfortunately they got him where it really hurt...it's always the innocents that pay.

New to Texas as well. Went Duck hunting with Swamp Nasty up in Bohnam, they are just awesome. If you are looking to get a duck lease I am in Fort Worth and be happy to join. If just hunting public I am in too, let me know.

Thank you for all the warm welcomes and the smart A ones also.......
1: Not looking for a duck lease<<<<currently have a deer/duck lease and a few friends who all duck "kinda how I got into this mess"
2: Keyboard "cowboys" dont bother me this is not the only online forum I am on.
3: Unsure of the reason behind "Dont name the lake" policy but, its whatever.
4: Already have waiders and I dont shoot a "B" shotgun<<<< My Versa Max does just fine THANK YOU!!
5: Dogs.....I have a Chocolate and a Black Lab both are worthless couch hounds.....Also always wanted a three legged dog.
6: As far as guides go I have had my fair share of them in the past "deer/trophy hunts" so its hit or miss.
7: Duck calls: I have a couple already and unless the ducks are just curios as to what that is that is making goofy noise probably not going to be shooting any with my duck calling ability.
If I have missed anything please feel free to point it out.
