Just thought I would let all of his customer on here know that Jerry Reeves is leaving Rednek Booda Outdoors. Tomorrow or Saturday will be his last day. Most people have assumed over the years that Jerry owned the shop, but in reality he was merely an employee there although the sole employee. I have come to know Jerry as a close friend, awesome bow technician, and a fine Christian young man.

He is leaving in order to be able to support his family better, working a "regular" job. However, as people who know can attest his passion is archery and he plans to return to the field as soon as he can and under his own terms.

I do not know the future of the RBO store itself but effective today I will no longer be part of their ProStaff. I strongly encourage any of you who can to make a run by there and have a chat with him before he is gone. I will keep people here posted as to what he is up to in the future.

Dang hate to hear that. Had no idea he was not the owner of the shop. Hopefully he will be led to open his own shop. In any event,best of luck to him.

Never have been able to make it to the shop but I've talked to Jerry a few times on the phone. Seems like a great guy. Come set up shop in Waxahachie!

Me too, and trust for that matter. I don't think it will be long before he sets up another shop. He just has to be able to pay bills between now and then and possibly find an investor or two.

I never met the man but based on his reputation on THF I was going to send him my bow for new strings later this month. Thanks for the update, I'll try and hold off until you let us know where he lands.

I hate to hear this. I just started using jerry last year and he got my destroyer shooting awesome. Hopefully he will be back at it soon.

This would be a great time for a couple of dedicated archer's to pull out the checkbooks and do something good for the sport.

Any update on Jerry Reeves' plans or future? My teenager finally saved enough money and ready to do some things he and Jerry previously discussed. Jerry was so great helping him get started.

I don't know how much I can divulge right now. If you PM me your name I will tell him you asked about him, he maybe able to still help your son out.

Not sure what all info he wants everyone to know but I know his bow work isn't gone for good
