I was lucky enough to get to spend a little time with our son hunting this season. I took him out just after Christmas. Our daughter shot her first deer last year at age 9. Our son Trip is only 6, but is an incredible shot and handles a gun very well at such a young age. After proving himself on the range, he was ready to try it for real this time. No doubt I was probably more nervous than he was. With a little Nutra Deer Party Mix and some corn on the ground, the doe came out to feed right where we wanted at 55 yards. He made a great heart shot and the deer piled up within 25 yards.
