Took a little drive yesterday with a friend to look at some animals and do a little hunting. Our target species never showed up as it was cold and windy as hell but we found a few animals that would sit still for a few photos. Take Care, Baker

I really liked the Asian Water Buffalo.

A few surprises in there. Great pics like usual. Are those blonde-phase red deer in pic 3?

So are they albino elk, or a different species all together? Either way they look pretty awesome, how much do you get to hunt those things, or do you hunt them?

The animals are not Albinos but appear to me to be Rocky Mountain Elk. The landowner never mentioned that they were albinos and I could see their eyes which were not pink. I don't know how much he charges to hunt the White Elk. Baker

Thanks. The cow looked more elk-ish with the neck ruff, but the bull's non-typical points threw me off.

Either way, awesome-looking animals and new to me. Didn't know those existed. I wonder if they were selectively bred for that color phase, or if they occur naturally somewhere?

Great pics!

Nice looking white elk. They are cool when they get rutted up still keep a bit of the same light/dark contrast, just whiter.

Are those all in the same pasture?

Pet shop down the road from me sales em on occasion. You could train it to walk with ya like a dog and hold a six pack in his pouch, or maybe a pack of smokes or something.
