Well here we are last day I dread this day every year I hate to see sundown on this day every year although my wife probably can't wait. It's really windy probably hopeless but what choice do we have can't shoot a big one tomorrow, I also just realized my binos are not in my backpack so that stinks good luck everybody.

Been in blind an hour, 20 feet in the air. Common sense may get me down earlier than I want.
Wind is brutal here in Hood County.

Well it's over another season gone about to climb out of the stand in a few minutes. Can't complain it was a pretty good season got a full freezer and another head for the wall not to mention a bobcat getting mounted as well.

I saw a nice buck 2 weeks ago in the middle of the day in the small wheat field on the Black Ranch .There are some nice deer around there as long as the hogs don't run them off .

There's some great ones out here and hogs aren't too bad at the moment kind of comes and goes, the problem for me is I have narrow properties between the Black and myself I'm on the Millington Ranch and for those deer to get to me they have to run a gauntlet of hunters but I think that's about to change. This year we only got one monster buck (not me unfortunately) the rest are all little bucks mostly forkies and sixes.

A company I used to work for had some gas wells on the Black ranch. That was a neat place, always saw deer and turkey when we would check wells. Usually near the creek crossing coming into the place and on either of the wheat fields beside the creek. That main house on the black looks like a castle. Must be nice. I didn't see ANY sign of hunting back then, no blinds or feeders.
Life is too short, as is. Don't chance it. Don't text and drive.
