Probably the EWT scope light product line or the new sniper hawg lite 50 or 60 model.

Deben Tracer 140VP or the 170VP
They are built like a light force, but have a built in rheostat on the back of the handle.

The Lightforce SL140vp, SL1705VP and SL2406VP are pretty nice lights.

I just purchased one of panther89's lights and will put it to use as soon as it comes in the mail. After that I will post a review in this section. So far I've heard nothing but good things. I will be hunting with a couple of guys that have the xlr250 lights so we will be able to do a side by side comparison.

Guess I'm behind the times. My question is; spotlighting while calling or while driving? Calling at night I use head lamps to spot the eyes coming in then halo them with Q beam-red lens, 400,000 CP. While traveling looking for calling spot, Q beam-white beam. Use spotlight, not flood lights. Looked at gun/scope mounted lights instead of Q beam, not sure about it yet.

I got a xlr250 for Christmas and havent used it yet in "live action" but Im impressed with its brightness and such. If I didnt normally hunt alone, Id prolly just use a hand held Q beam.

Gonna try to go out Saturday night and hit it hard. Been saving my spots all year for the contests coming up but won't be able to make them so ive got about 30 spots I'm gonna try and hit. Hitting that many I should know about battery life and everything else.

Lightforce 170mm gun mounted lights are what we use and have for years. I have an XLR250 and really like it but when I'm hunting from the truck the Lighforce is the only way to go with a boondock hood of course If you get one of the XLR250s or any of the lights with a CREE LED be careful shining the center spot directly in the face of the animal. I have had a couple of foxes, and yotes spook when you do that. I have also tried it on deer and get the same results. Something about the intensity of the very center of the spot that they DON'T like. Just my .02

Got my light in from panther yesterday and I have been like a kid with a new toy. So far I'm very impressed but will put it to the test Friday night. I'm also going to try and compare it to my lightforce I usually hunt from the truck with.

My xlr250 (green) has spooked the hawgs off several times. Not every time but sometimes. Im guessing its spooked the ones off that have been shot at before ?
