I'm over ran this year also. I have shot four this year from my stand and have lost count of how many that were out of range.

We have an organization here in this part of Bandera Co. You pay dues and get a bounty for the ones you kill. The Co. kicks in a portion of it. The ones that are part of it do there part in trying to control the population. But like in other areas some of the landowners do not allow trapping etc. My coyote problem is also from neighbors. I have for the most part so called predator proof fence. But they dig under it where they can. Bad time of the year to try to do anything with neighbor because of hunting season. After this week we shall see.

I've gotten my share of coyotes in the last 3 or 4 months by shooting a hog and putting the carcass where I can watch it. If you'll set and wait, the coyotes will come to it. I've gotten as many as 5 per day just sitting and waiting. I've had coyotes stacked on top of the hog and the coyotes still come in and get scattered around in the same area. It does seem that the coyote numbers have gotten much higher this year. I normally will get 1 or 2 each weekend even without a carcass or calling them. Just catch 'em going across the fields.

Hi guys, Pa hunter here. Im coming to Texas from late Jan to mid March. Ill be staying in San Antonio at Lackland AFB. I was just wondering if you could give me some info on my options for hunting/fishing. I know the bass will be good during that time, but im wondering about predator hunting. I would love to hear what you have to say. Thanks

I recently bought a Foxpro Wildfire and got a kill with it on my first time out. Put the call out on my way to the blind for the morning hunt. After I was satisfied that no deer were coming in, I started the call off. A big coyote skirted around the call, but a second one stalked to within 40 yards of the brush I had the call in. They're $200 at academy, but they work!

Yotes and cats are bad this year. They seem to get braver to. Just a few weeks back , shot a doe with my bow. Left it where it was to go pick up my boy first and then bring him back so we could load it. My grandpa told me always to leave something personal on the deer, for the smell to keep yotes away. It has worked every time except this time. I threw my jacket on the doe and went to pick up my boy. I wasn't gone more than 45 minutes and when I got back the doe was pulled about 20yds, tail tore off and about half a ham eaten.
