 Son shot his first deer

My son has been wanting to go hunting ever since he started shooting my crossbow so after a month of practicing and teaching him shot placement we headed out. We went south of Houston the Friday morning before Christmas and took him to a nice hunting ranch to go after some hogs to start with but had no luck at getting close to any. He saw lots of game and could tell he was very excited so we headed back home empty handed but Saturday afternoon we were sitting in our blind at house and watched a nice 6 point eatting after a little while of watching him he raised his bow and was waiting for a good quarter shot when a nice 8 point walked out and quickley he knew that was the one he wanted. The deer gave him several great chances at a shot but he took his time and made a great shot on a nice first buck. He is now hooked and ready for more. It sure makes a father proud to be able to pass on thing like this to his kids
