He looks kinda' poor to me. Hip bones are protruding also.
Life is too short, as is. Don't chance it. Don't text and drive.

Yes he is obviously ill and probably in pain. The animal needs to be put down.

Looks sick, are there any other deer in the area that look that thin? If not, it's probably not environmental.

Thanks for the input guys. We actually saw this guy in person yesterday afternoon and he was limping very badly. It ended up being my buddy's first deer. Decided to take him out. Still not sure what was wrong with him, but someting was up with his back legs/hip area.

They make grape flavored amoxicillan mix that we used to give to our hogs. Just mix it with water. He is a good lookn buck. Hate to just put him down when he might just be run down from the rut or maybe treatable.

The wonders of the trail cam. They show you things that most are not normally going to see with wildlife. Bucks rut hard and get a lot of injuries from that. The vast majority live thru those injuries and the post rut if they have good range conditions/food available. Unless that buck was hit in the stomach or intestine area he would have done fine from what I can tell.
Are idiots multiplying faster than normal people?
