I'm wanting to get a disc cooker, nothing fancy needed. Do any of you have recommendations on where to find one in north Texas? I don't own a welder so I need to find one with the hole already filled. Thanks!

Landmark equipment in McKinney is where I got mine, they have 22" and 24" with no hole. I went with the 24", believe it was about $45.00. Season it right, and the more you use it the better it will get and the more you will like it. Landmark is the Ford/New Holland dealer just North of McKinney on the service rd (East side) off Hwy 75 . Look up the web sight for the number and call to be sure they have them in stock as they sell quite a few just for this purpose. Sure do love mine!!!

Struck out at Tractor Supply, the guy said they quit carrying them at the store in Denton due to low sales volume. I appreciate the suggestions, I'll hit one of the others tomorrow.

Yes sir! That's where I went and they got me fixed up. $47 for the 24" plain model if anyone else is looking.

Yes season it well with lard and it will be good to you! A little on the bottom as well won't hurt a thing.

Would you just use one of those with the regular gas fish fryer, boiler burners?

That's what I use. There are others that would be more stable but I am the only one that cooks on the disk so it hasn't been an issue so far.
