I already have enough meat to last me a while. I am wanting to take a couple of old does and do not want to waste the meat. I know there is a program to donate the meat in Texas. I do not know where to take the deer to donate it in the DFW area. Anyone have experience in doing this?

Rendon meats just south of ft worth. When u donate it you useally have to pay for a standard cut I think around 70 to 80.00 but I beleive it is tax deductible.

Less Processing in Rendon takes it and you don't have to pay for the processing that your not getting.

Make a few calls to processors. Some have very small to no fees. Halls in Coleman is free this year, last year they charged 15.00. We donated about 12 deer from hunters

The Hunters for the Hungry website has a list of participating processors:

I have been into my own processing and game care and can't seem to keep the jerky around long. I could def use extra meet for the year so I can make a couple more batches. You can just meet me with it gutted and I will handle the rest. 432.813.7833. Broke my leg so it will be hard to get out but my dad can meet if possible
