I think I will head out on friday for one last whitetail hunt. If I see an axis, I won't hesitate to pull the trigger but otherwise, I think it's my last opportunity to get another tag filled. Anyone know what the deer forcast will be?

Highs in the 50s lows in the mid 30s had a good rain Saturday and hard freeze this morning. Hoping acorns are done but some trees are still dropping

Has been great in the mornings seeing a lot of bucks that are hitting the feeders hard now that the rut is over.

That's good to hear, I have two options as far as where to go....either hunt an open feild that is mowed regularly with lots of deer and often some axis or hunt a secluded area in centerpoint with a feeder....I am torn between which one to spend my time in since it's near the end. I am leaning toward the centerpoint location. But only because there is no hunting pressure there. One feeder, 20 acres and a 16 foot tripod. Wish I had put one of my cameras out there now lol.

I hunted south of San Antonio this past weekend. In Skidmore and the mornings were pretty good saw a bunch of doe and a few solid bucks. I had the best luck on the evening hunt, around 5:15-5:30 saw some beautiful bucks, I shot a solid 10 point with a pretty rack, I wish you the best of luck

was south of Kerrville today.
Deer were moving, lots of axis, some whitetail.
For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

I'll be hunting on the Guadalupe this week. Thanksgiving hunting sucked big time. Too many acorns.
Life is too short, as is. Don't chance it. Don't text and drive.
