Yesterday was more painful as I was in town taking care of stuff and them went to my work to have a meeting with my drivers. So I was up out of bed a lot more than usual<<<<<<<I know its just part of it.

OK, well then you know what's coming next.

Got to taake me a shower tonight.

Its still getting better.





If anyone in the FTW area has a regular wheelchair I can borrow for about a month please let me know.

My foot is actually ticklish again and just now for the first time my foot actually felt COLD for a couple of minutes.

I also continue to gain more feeling as well.

You'll be back at it in no time.

Sounds like you are ahead of schedule on recovery!!! You had extensive damage to your ankle and to start getting feelings back is a good sign!!!

Gaining even more feeling and now more, but still very limited movement.....I am guessing mostly due to the swelling going down.

Go to GNC/vitamin shoppee and get you some powder amino acids to help with faster rebuilding. That and milk/calcium.

NP, for best results you'll need to drink a serving or two three times a day. Get a glutamine (3000 mg+) rich blend if possible. Back in football I broke my wrist and was back out there in no time flat.

It is crazy how protective ya get over something like this. I can almost feel something get near it even with my eyes closed.
I am guessing they did not cast it due to the incisions. They did however send me home this last time with a walking boot that I cant walk in yet....cant put weight on it till my next dr appointment on the 16th. I only use it when I leave the house. I do wish they would have given me another splint as it does offer some support and protection.

I will say that it could be devastating if I were to fall and land on it......AGAIN.

So here is what it looks like today. Steri-strips starting to come off and the dry skin peeling off. The skin on my foot feels like leather. I have tried lotion and it wont hardly absorb into the top of my foot. Crazy stuff. It's also taking all I have to not keep peeling the skin like a sun burn but I know it will cause other problems I dont want.

Im still dealing wih nerve pain. It reallysucks to have your ffoot fell like its in a turkey frier. But I could be worse.

not really but close to it. Right now I have very little movement in my ankle or toes. They say that weather changes will be painful and I will more than likely always have a limp. I am ok with that as thing could have been much worse. Saying that I will not give up on getting back to 100%.
