Not sure how long I'll last. These boots didn't dry out and cold wet feet is a bad combo.
Had 5 does and two fawns but they moved on. Sun just coming over the horizon.

Five doe at 7.30. One made me early. Saw me move. Headed to feeder but they changed their minds. Stayed in cover the whole time. Gone. Dang it they were 100 yds from my hanging tree.

Just had a doe bust me without ever looking at me. Came out 30 yards downwind right after I poured out some coffee. She took off down a trail that lead her to my truck. She sure made some noise.
Wind picking up here.

I went out and it was a great morning. Lot of deer moving early till around 8.

Saw three does....we got out at 8 and went to a field and tried rattling. No luck but on the way back saw about 20 turkey at our feeder. Took an offhand shot at a gobbler and grazed his chest. Feathers everywhere, but he ran off unharmed...... I know the .308 would have sent him floppin. Eating mc'd now with my boy, still had a good time.

1 doe for the freezer this morning!
Saw several before it got light and as soon as the sun came up three came to the feeder, they were all nervous when the wind picked up so I didn't wait to see if any bucks came around.

Went to Killeen Christmas shopping with wifey yesterday. Got home and unloaded about 11pm last night and a bright moon was out then. Felt like a teenager after two a day football workouts this morning.  Got out and fed cattle about 10am and saw lots of deer. Every deer was laying down by then.
