Hunting is usually fair to good, plenty of whitetail and free-ranging exotics, especially Axis and Aoudad. Best week to hunt for whitetails is probably a 2 week period from around Thanksgiving to early December. Late season can be very good as well since the animals tend to run low on natural food sources and are forced to leave the hills as winter sets in.
It's been tough this year with the bumper acorn crop, hoping for better luck last week of the season. Good luck to you.

I'm looking to go the week of jan 13-18. Have two feeders going off twice a day so hopefully I'll have some luck.

Are you aware that the season is closed at that time except for spikes and does?

Setup feeders year round with water also if possible. Our deer around Bandera are mostly nocturnal now and still on Acorns. I usually have up to 35 Whitetail and about 6 Axis, but am only seeing a few yearlings daily now and for last 3 weeks

A lot depends on where you are in that area. Some areas are really good and in some it is like a war zone.
