Anybody have some basic knowledge on crows and wanna share a method of killing them? Me and my brother went the other day with the ecaller and sat in my duck blind and killed 16. I've never done it before then and thought it was pretty fun. So me and lil brother went today to a different spot and managed a few, but they didn't come in as well and there was just as many as the previous spot. Any suggestions on how to set up and have a decent shoot? Should I move from one place to another after killing a few? both places I would try are about 100 acres of coastal with a couple tress here and there.

I watched a documentary on crows once. They can recognize faces and communicate amongst themselves. It was weird.

There smart as chit, kill the scout bird. If you can find a roost you will hammer them.

Once the crows are coming turn down your e caller if possible.

okay what about putting first crow we shoot about 20 yards out infront of us? I shot one today and it landed about 80 yards away and about half dozen hovered over it. I had to go get it before I could get another crow to fly my way.

okay now where talkin, my papa has 4 really big pecan trees in his yard and that's where all the crows usually are, but we just haven't tried there yet. And my mom actually has a fake owl in her barn lol. So whats the point of the owl, and should I put it somewhere pretty visible?

crows absolutely hate owls and hawks. put a owl deke out with a few crows around it. you can also use dead crows as decoys

the crows will go out of their way to attack an owl or hawk

This for sure. You def have to kill the scout birds. Full camo face hands everything they are really smart. Once you kill a few use them as decoys and yes keep the calls quiet. Just enough so that the ones that you can hear can hear you. Early morning is the best. They hate owls, crow and owl fight is a good call with an owl decoy on a fence post is golden, then switch to a wounded crow after you shoot some. Shoot a few move 500 yards or so wait about 15 min do it again. Grew up with both of my grandparents owning pecan orchards so crows and squirrels were our enemies for many childhood years.

Dang man, crow hunting? Shoot, come to my feeder and have a field day. I wish I didn't delete my trail cam pic I had, must of been 30 of 'em eatin my corn! If people didn't know any better they would probably think I was farming them.

Go to texarkana, just passed the tx-ar border. Look to your left from the highway.
Largest concentration in tx. You will see about 25000

beaversnipe do you hunt around there? I'm on a deer lease in Hooks, TX and we have a few acres south of Genoa in Arkansas. Everytime I'm out between deer season I bring the e-caller. Even without camo I can always high behind a tree and get a few.

I've been in a tree during a morning hunt in Hooks and seen hundreds flying East-West.
