Had 4 huge hogs show up ut my feeder one evening 2 weeks ago, Was so shocked that I didn't shoot. Haven't seen any before and haven't seen them since. What is a hogs normal range? This is 80 acres situated between other large ranches in Comanche.

They can range for several miles. TPWD says 5000 to 70000 acres, depending on food and water.

Likewise, I have had hogs with distinctive markings show up on my place and disappear for over 2 months before returning. That doesn't mean they were going far, but they were not staying near.

They come and go at our place. They'll be everywhere for months then they disappear for a while.
Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large numbers

Yeah it varies, food resources and hunting pressure.

Same with my place. No pattern, no rhyme or reason. Just here a few nights, do their damage and move on until the next time, or the next group come through. Whatever the case may be?

They seem to be pretty nomadic. Some seem to just make the rounds over a few square miles and some seem to literally travel without limit right up to the edge of suitable habitat, then turn around. Anywhere they can find food, they seem to stick around until the food source is exhausted.
