I have a Benelli Supernova and really like it. Is the SBE 2 the closest semiautomatic design to the Supernova pump? I like the way the Supernova shoulders and want to get a semiauto as close to it as possible. I know I don't "need" another gun if I like the one I'm shooting.....but I WANT one. On a side note, I may sell my Browning Maxus. It's worked perfectly but I'm just not as good a shot with it as I am the Supernova. Everything seems to line up better when I shoulder the Supernova.

SuperVinci is a closer feel to the supernova imo. Plus the safety is in the same place (big deal in my mind).

Plus either of those guns is 12.7 lbs lighter than the supernova.

Went from a nova to a super vinci this year!! As for feel they are close excpet for the weight. As for pointing and shooting ability there is no comparision. You won't pick up the nova anymore if you buy a Vinci or a SBEII. both are top of the line autos. If you wanted a little heavier gas gun the bretta extrema is a obvious choice. just my .02

I don't know how it compares to the supernova but it is one bad azz gun. I've had mine for 3 seasons now and it has never let me down and will shoot anything I can put in it.
I would not hesitate to buy another one if I needed it. Just go somewhere that has one in stock and shoulder it. If it fits you won't regret it.

The way the gun fits is everything! Make and model really don't matter much

Well, you're half right..
I really hate to do what I am about to do, because it will be very painful for you.

A black eagle and nova aren't alike. I had a nova and hated the way it felt, ended up selling it. I have an M2 now...same as black eagle...and it's my favorite gun. Just my 2 cents

Thanks for the responses. I shouldered both the super vinci and the sbe2 this evening. Both felt great. As good or better than my supernova. I'm leaning toward the sbe2. Sure wish my maxus felt as good cause it has been a good, reliable semi auto but it just doesn't fit me. I will let you guys know if I want to sell it. My maxus has a 26" barrel, mossy oak duck blind camo and is one and a half years old. Great condition too but I may hang on to it. A person can't have too many guns.

Love my black eagle. Have a super nova and a SBE 2. Love both of them but dont shoot the nova very often anymore. That deal above about a maxus for an SBE sounds pretty good.

Was just talking about the feel

And if I was ever in the market for a new gun, I'd get a black eagle. Only reason I got the M2 is because I got it brand new for $700. Couldn't pass that up

Yeah its the exact same gun. the sbe just is a shade heavier and has a half inch longer bolt/receiver. They're sweet guns.
Thanks for all the positive THF support. Y'all are awesome.

I went from SuperNova to SBE2 a few years ago. I didn't really want to, but I managed to break my middle finger on the trigger guard of the SuperNova around mid-season. Every time I'd shoot it my finger felt like it was breaking again. I thought during the off season it would get better but it didn't. I still have a knot there.
The only semiautos I had at the time were older than me (I'm no Spring chicken) and don't handle wet/ice/mud very well. Looked at the 3 B's. Benelli fit best, haven't looked back. It fits best and works every time with a few exceptions where the brass gets caught up in the ejection port.
Before the SN I had an 870.

I really want to get that M2 they have in 20 gauge lefty. About the only premium auto in 20ga that makes a left handed version.

graduated from my nova to the SBEII 2 years ago....love both guns....super reliable....once you get the SBEII broke in you can throw any load you want in there and it should cycle no problem

They're not looking for one thing right....they're looking for one thing wrong.
