I still don't understand why your buddy didn't put a clip of lead in him as soon as he got in the boat or at least let him know that if he raised his hand to hit you again that he wouldn't have a hand to make a fist. I woulda had him in the bottom of the boat belly up with a .45 on him until the warden or sheriff got there. Of coarse I wasn't there so my visual im sure is different that what happened but still. A lot easier said than done. What if you pulled your 45 on him and he started walking off to his boat? Shoot him in the back? Wait until he gets to his boat and hope he doesn't have a gun? No, GTFO and call the law. I think Wayne knows a bit about how to handle himself.

Still taking notes from input though, thanks again gents! Don't make decisions without driving them. Some work your butt off trying to keep them in the water and others are like driving an outboard. Just check them out...as someone said WAY up the list they all have a good reliable motor platform it's the rest of it that matters. I want neutral and I want reverse. I could do without the reverse but with the options out there I wouldn't have too but not without the neutral...just to easy and nice to have, plus safe.

No, GTFO and call the law. I think Wayne knows a bit about how to handle himself. Not saying he doesn't know how to handle himself and like I said I wasn't there so my perception Im sure is different but I wouldn't stand there and watch my buddy take a beating. especially with a woman right there who could have been his next victim. In the end it looks like everything worked out fine and I sure as hell wouldn't wanna be on Wal's $hit list. But to answer your question if he started walking off I would do exactly what he did and leave and call the law.

Was that the day you got beat down with a fishing pole? Whatever happened to that joker? He has been identified, brought in for questioning and case be prepared to go to the DAs office. The wheels of justice turn slow . Not the same day though. Link to this story? I must have missed it...

American duck it happened really fast. Part of the problem was buddy was behind me. When the guy went to the front of the boat to get the anchor is when lead was about to go downrange. My friend handled his end perfectly. He said not a word, had a hold of the weapon without flailing it around or even showing it, he just waited. He would have been legal in jury's eyeball to shoot when the sustpect reached for the bucket. It just wasn't right to do it at that second. Had the suspect gained momentum with obtaining the bucket. I hate having to say it, the deal would have been over right then and there. My bud did exactly the right thing in that situation.

Just the bottles? They make it look cool and I'm not sure but I believe just having the bottles installed increases HP by 25HP

Trout,..... That's a very good question, and IMO,,Mud Buddy is the best in Veg.
The list of Motors goes on,but the top 3 will be Mud buddy Pro drive Gator tail
Now Then,.... We are only talking Lower units here because they are all packing the same motor per say.
Pro Drive is a dang good motor but to me it's just a bad A out board.
Gator Tail is just to lose of a handle in the tough stuff
Mud buddy is the OG, but it's hard to get some one on the phone.

Pretty spot on Muddyfoot, and if you hit a stump and happen to damage the lower unit gears similar to an outboard in the Prodrive, repairs are a lot higher. The other motors are just belts and pulleys. Not to mention that Prodrive will knock the crap out of you when you hit something since they do not have floating handles like the others. Drive them all and make up your own mind.

Still taking notes from input though, thanks again gents! I highly recommend getting on Mud Motor Talk and reading what people have to say about Excel boats. I agree they are awesome looking boats, but the construction and customer service has pretty poor reviews. I love my gatortrax. Built like a tank. But the best thing to do is run them all and pick the one that suits you the best. Good luck on whatever you decide on!

If I had to guess Muddyfoot is probably basing his numbers on the amount of motors Briggs sales to each company in a given year which would translate to how many are sold per year. His order is accurate in motors sold.
