Any thoughts on this bucks age? His right side is basically a slick main beam with a fork in the middle. I don't think he will outgrow this, but I am unsure about his age. Any thoughts?

4 yr old or maybe a rutted down 5 yr old. Do you know what he was like last year?

No idea what he was last year. This is my first year on this lease. I killed the biggest deer that I have pics of on October 30, and I really hope that this wasn't the one that got to breed most of my does!

1st pic looks like 4.5.. 3rd pic looks like he's a 5yo. When was the last pic taken? Like somebody else said he may be rutted down and looks younger now. Just my opinion.

Is that a wound at the top of his back?

I think it is, but I haven't noticed it in any of the other pics. At this stage of the season, should I give this deer another year or try to take him? He's just not that good.

Depends on your management program and the deer your have. If its a LF and you think he'll make it till next year you could let him go. If hes a 4yo he could blow up next season. Provided hes not hurt that bad and you get the rain.
