Recently I have had an incident where we had somebody come onto our property and shot up our feeder with a shotgun. Also our game camera was stolen from the spot. We have a feeling we know who it is but we do not want to confront this person without knowing for sure. Any suggestions on how to catch this person if they decide to come back and try again? We do not want to risk/sacrifice another game camera getting stolen but maybe there is a way to hide one well enough to where the trespasser will not be able to see it. The main goal is to be able to figure out for sure who it is without having to be too upfront about it. Let me know if y'all have any thoughts.

Do a better job of camo'g your camera and make sure it is infrared (no flash). Perhaps up in a tree or something.

^^^^ This

If you could get 2 cams, that would be better. Sounds almost like someone with a severe attitude against you.

Dummy camera near where you had the first one & a hidden "real camera" up in a tree pointing at the dummy.

Yeah, hi, Clart here. Long time watcher and first time poster. I love the ideas above, this is the kind of stuff that just really bugs me. Im definitely OCD and it really makes me mad. Also, I get motion sickness so this sure isn't helping. Keep us posted on the latest happenings. I'll be over here with my bean dip and cheetoh fingermin.

Sounds like you rubbed someone the wrong way!
I think I'd be checking the roads for roofing nails and such!

Once i learned that i didn't "NEED" to kill something, and that if i did kill something all the fun stopped and work began, i was a much better hunter.

I would get one of the cameras that has the remote back up and put it up plain as day. Hope you catch them and they have to pay to repair/replace everything damaged.

Hunt him :p

But seriously what I would try is a camera pointed at a spot away from the Feeder Cam set up. Then leave a personal object in front of it, something you know would get the better of a humans curiosity. An backpack maybe? empty.

You might get a close up shot of him inspecting the backpack. Kind of like a burying corn for a hog haha, keep him in the area longer, more chance on camera

I have some family dealing with a very similar situation.

Call your GW and discuss the situation with him.

Look into a Plotwatcher Pro. Easy to hide and takes a pic every 5 or 10 sec. Downside is that it only works during the day. But it's an excellent camera to catch trespassers.

Dummy camera/item is also an excellent idea.

Don't know where you land is but I have an old Moultree cam that doesn't work that I would give you to use as the dummy or bait.
