I have no idea what they will be doing in Montague county, but on our way home from work, taking the back roads to get away from the traffic, Lora and I saw at least 12, and 2 were bucks. I am hoping they will have decided that yellow stuff under the feeders is good to eat.

Last I saw the high for Sunday was mid 80's. A good water source in the mid day into evening might be good. On the other hand there has ben little rain so a good food source could also be the hot spot.

I'd say hang around the water--of course, I could be wrong!

I think they're having a hard time figuring out themselves, fishman

This weather would confuse Confucius. But, using one of his quotes here makes sense: It does not matter how slowly you go, so long as you do not stop. If you hunt hard and still don't take one, you've still accomplshed what you set out to do - HUNT.

I can't believe the acorns are still crisp and, obviously, tasty.............

I'm going to throw out a pile of corn next to a kiddie swimming pool full of water

This is the last weekend to get my buck so I'm gonna hit the thick brush and two areas I have not hunted all season. Hopefully I'll get to see some deer. If not, I know where the yotes have been crossing.

I've got two does for the year so I'm good on meat.

I hunted Dickens and Kent county last weekend and 90% of the deer I saw were hitting the wheat fields early and late. There was not mu wheat up, but enought to get them in the fields. Saw little activity at the feeders.

Good Luck

Well the last 2 day at our place, there wasn't nothing moving. We hunted feeders, water holes, and just sitting in other areas. It was beyond poor, all of December has been terrible.

Ya'll are definitely hunti' in th the wrong spots sitin' on all them feeders, waterholes and such. Go find the local beach and scout for a hammock with tracks under it that has a close by beer store and a delivery service. At least that's what I've been do'in since it got over 70 this last couple weeks...hollerin' "Hey por favor!!! Pina Colada and...mucho cervaza senor!!!!"

I cain't wait for summer to get here. At this rate I'll need to move to north of the Circle in Alaska to get a break on my AC bill next August... and be able to sell waterfron land in North Texas that has real saltwater instead of this half strenfth stuff I'm living on at Texoma.
