Tried that. Went to tom thumb albertsons kroger. They all looked at me like i was a weirdo. I guess because im in the city, i dunno. Never tried sams, ill have to try that later. If thats doesn't work anyone have any other suggestions. Thanks for the replies so far.

Sams wouldn't give me any. They said they sell it to a company and not to customers.

Try this, if the local supermarkets can't hook you up. Also, ask to speak to the meat manager, he'll probably know better than some Joe what you are asking for.

Don't know where you are, but you can buy pork fat from Brookshires meat market. I have also used the boxes of bacon end pieces before and they work nice.
