First of all I want to say that this is a real post and not coming from the ranch. I was asked to fill out a comment sheet after my hunt and was told about some bad stuff coming from certain people/outfitters on here(always the same ones) and I wanted to tell y'all about my experience, straight out of my comment form:

Best damn hunt I have ever been on! Norris was a great guide and I will be back. I came to this hunt not knowing exactly what to expect as I have never been on a guided hunt before and have heard and read horror stories about these kinds of hunts. The previous statement COULD NOT HAVE BEEN MORE WRONG, I went to shoot a female elk and got much more. I had Norris for a guide, who upon my arrival showed me the camp house which is very clean, comfortable, as well it has sat. tv on a massive flat screen. We headed out at about six thirty am and Norris explained every animal that I wanted to know about in great depth, which was everything I saw and essentially the entire ranch, he told me how the meat was, if it was a good one, or if there were bigger and so forth. I ended up taking a 5x5 bull elk, a 6 point MASSIVE Sitka, which they cut me a great deal on, and a red deer aka female red stag. Norris was great about saying wait a minute and some bigger ones will come out and helped me shoot nice big mature animals. Now the important part, I have been saving to go on an African Safari, however after seeing the stock here and the VERY INEXPENSIVE PRICING I actually went from a one thousand dollar hunt to shooting several thousand worth of animals and saving a lot of money because now I do not need to go to Africa. On a personal note I am a veteran and have very very limited capabilities which I told Norris a little bit about and I just want to thank him as well as Dee for literally doing everything for me. They loaded the animals, gutted, caped them out, and cleaned the meat quartering very well. I took them to J&S in San Angelo to get processed and they commented on how clean the meat was by saying that 1 of 1000 actually come in that clean, so once again thank you Norris and Dee for doing this for me. I have read some reviews of this ranch online that were just horrible and I am telling you straight up that they are bullcrap, I had the best hunt that I have ever had in my life here and will be going back and have found that most people that wrote those just missed the shot. If you go here, which I hope you do you can expect nothing less than honesty, great company/guiding, and you will get a shot at what you are hunting and probably multiple times. I am a long range shooter and told Norris this and I made a very long shot on this MASSIVE Sitka, I did not have to, but I chose to. I suppose what I am saying is that if you can make a clean long shot then it is ok to say you can, but if not then tell Norris and he will get you close, I actually could have shot any of these animals at fifty yards if I wanted to do so, but like I said I am a distance shooter. If you cannot make a six or seven hundred yard shot then just say so and dont try to act like you can just to look cool. If you read this and want to talk to me personally I have no problem calling and telling you about my hunt from one end to the other, just give Fred your phone number and ask him to have me call you and I will . I hope that I have helped any hunters trying to pick where to go and like I said, if you need to know from a customer I will be more than happy to tell you all about it as much as you want to know. In finalization I would like to say that I have pondered guides and guided hunts and to be straight forward, this was literally a DREAM HUNT and I could not have hoped for anything more as I was very well educated and more importantly taken care of physically, if I needed Norris or Dee they were there in an instant and went well above their duties required of them. I do have one regret and that is I was only able to tip about 12% due to budges issues, and yes 10% is a thanks you did a great job to the guide, however they earned about a 30% tip so I will be making that up to them because like I said, if 10% is a standard for a good job, then in this case my 12% was probably insulting and I actually apologized that it was all I could afford and Norris said I do this for a living but having a happy hunter means more so dont sweat it and I believe him. Thank you to Lonesome Bull Ranch and a big thank you again to Norris and Dee.

Sounds good, but I could only read half of your story. Would have been nice if you separated it "somewhere" into paragraphs?

At least it wasn't in all "caps" grin

Really Western, you felt that was appropriate. The guys trying to relate a great story, not write a best seller.

Yeah really Gunslinger! Never said it wasn't a great story, or a book. It is easier to read that much info when written with some kind of well, maybe you dont get it.

Yes I fell like asking for a standard format is appropriate. especially when it has that much content.

First off congrats on your hunt and thank you for your service but why come on here with one post and no pictures and once again someone going after a elk cow and not getting it but instead shooting something else. They are all crooked and liars there and I will not agree with anyone that says they are not. He owes me and other people I know money and will not return a phone call email or anything that involves those issues.

Twice in just about a month I have seen rave reviews for this outfit by first time posters as new members. That alone seems suspect to me, but having no knowledge of any of the parties it's simply my opinion that hunters that have a good experience at the Lonesome Bull Ranch are encouraged to post a review here. I'm glad this gentleman had a good experience and a his best hunt ever, but all of this controversy surrounding this outfit is very curious.

Lol, 2600 acres with 26 feeding stations and a laundry list of animals to choose from. Too funny. If you think you are hunting when you go to this place, you are mistaken, you are shopping. They do give free hogs, coyotes and bobcats with a paid hunt though. I will say this, it would be a good place to be once Armageddon hits, plenty of meat!

How come everybody I meet is a deer hunting expert?
