I don't know why but I feel the need for a new rifle. I am selling (not listed here) a .243 that my wife used because she recently went to a new .30-06.............surprised me because of the recoil but she loves it!!
anyway.....I am taking that cash and I am wanting either a .270 WSM or a .264 Win Mag.
If I go with the .270 wsm, I am thinking about the Thompson Center Venture. I do not know if they make it in a .264 or not but does anyone have any experience with these???

Do you handload? If not, you can probably rule the 264 out. Ammo is going to be hard to find locally for the 264.

The .270wsm is a good round. Hotter fps wise off the shelve

I love the .264 though and I would personally buy that. Ammo is not hard to find

For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

Between the two, I'd probably go with the .264. More bullet choices, inherently better long range capabilities. But that's me. Neither would be a "bad" choice.

Tolerance is the virtue of a man without conviction.

The end of the world began the day it was created, and life is a sexually transmitted terminal disease.
