That deer is awesome. He has to be around 32 or 33 inches across. I have shot a deer that is 24 inches wide and mine would fit inside that rack with inches to spare on each side. Just incredible deer. Wow. Looks about 28 inside, to me. Nah never make that i say 27 7/8

Sorry, been back out just got some time to respond. I was working for a ranch and they let me sit to take some does and clean up the hog population. So I had to let him walk. They know him pretty well he is 3 years old and not on a hit list. They want to let him get some of his genes spread around. I got to watch him for about an hour and half as he scraped up under my stand and chased everything out of the field. Even though I did not harvest him its a hunt ill never forget and got some cool videos and picture and did some harvest some meat, so I had an awesome time.

The folks on the ranch you were helping out needs to learn to age deer, no way he's only 3 years of age. They can do what they want with him but aging deer correctly helps the overall herd. Oh heck of a spread.

Looks like he has been running hard. I believe em on the age. He really hasn't learned how to pee yet. Most 6+ year old deer this time of year are stained all the way to their hooves. IMO Very nice deer!

he was deer that was bred and born in a pen then released this year out into their hunting area. so im pretty sure they know how to age and have aged this deer properly since they saw him born. but thanks for all of the comments. Always seems that there are a few that have something negative to say about any thing posted. I just thought id post a nice deer that I watched for everyone to enjoy looking at.

Wow that is a great OLD buck. Look at that sway back and huge hips. I bet that buck is at least 7.5 or older! Just a magnificent grand old man. If you don't get him this year, he may not make it another one? Good luck At first look I would say you are spot on. But when I look at his legs compared to his body he seems to a younger buck. Just a little leggy to me. Maybe 3 or 4?

I do not doubt that he is 3 1/2. Protein babies can bulk up pretty good and fool you.
We have 3 1/2 year olds that fool me, and I know how old they are.
