What is your opinion of Mike and Ed's processing? Whitetail, in particular.

Thanks - Mickey

Nice clean place but their prices are high. I usually use The Branding Iron in Cross Plains. Somewhat cheaper and do excellent work.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, beer in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming.

Mike and Eds is great. The J&C Smoked Sausage is awesome.

I've hear really good things but my processor is 2/10 of a mile down the road so I'll stick close to home. I hear that Mike and Ed's make mean sausage.

So based on this one visit, the product is great though they are really pricey (they either don't use the prices on the order sheet or they charged me incorrectly) and I didn't get my tenderloin.

Did you ask them about it (the price, or the tenderloin)?

No, I didn't realize until after a number of hours and a couple hundred miles.

It seems as if your opinion is made. I'm sorry to hear about your misfortune.

The only opinion I have is that the product is great. Quality is not, and was not, the issue. It's the pricing and the missing tenderloin that is the issue.

My mistake though, I should have checked before I left.

If the price was too high for my liking and had missing meat, I'd find another processor.... 2cents. I'm sorry for your bad fortune.

Yeah, I'm not going back - I know there are other processors that have equally delicious product, are more conveniently located for me and hopefully won't have pricing issues. To be fair though, I have not addressed pricing or missing meat with them.
