Just ordered me a browning Maxus.
Anyone have the good the bad or the ugly I can expect when it arrives?

I have seen the pictures from some of your hunts I am sure I could come out there and work that out.

Have you shot 2-3/4 out of yours? If so how did it cycle? I am confident 3 and 3-1/2 won't be a problem.

It's what I shoot. Hasn't let me down yet. They get better and better the more they break in. With the action locked open, if you put the first shell in the magazine tube, it will automatically chamber it. Works great for swat shots or quick reloads.

Eats everything I feed it. I shoot alot of sporting clays and it loves 1oz target loads.

Yea for years. It was out in 2009 so anything more then 1 yr is years. Not everyone lives off what you dictionary says. Sorry if you and I are not under the same understanding that for years is anything over a decade

I've been shooting one for 3 years now and absolutely love it. Occasionally when shooting light dove loads it will not cycle, but that's not very often. I've never had it happen with duck loads. She's been on spring snow hunts with me and shot like a champ through 2 full days of blasting away. Overall I have no complaints. Some buddy's told me I was dumb for buying it because they have all sorts of problems. Maybe I am an exception, but mine has worked flawlessly. She has earned her name, Maxine.

3 seasons now. Always goes bang. All "B" guns are good.

I haven't found a load that mine won't shoot. And I've shot all the cheapo promo dove loads.

I did have the piston spring in the forearm break on me. Sent just the piston back and browning had me back in business in less than a week. I believe they have fixed the supplier issue on those springs.

My dog snores.

I have one and it's a great gun.

Only bad thing I can say about it is that I can't get mine apart to clean it. Supposed to be the easiest gun to take apart or something of that nature but mine won't. And I think I take damn good care of my stuff. I figured this out when the gun didn't want to cycle sometimes so I went to clean it and couldn't get it apart. So I just clean what I can get to for now and all's good.

Mine comes apart in seconds. Make sure your bolt is back to remove the barrel.

X2 I can drop the trigger and everything in about 30 seconds.

Mine started hanging up after about 2k shots, and was getting where I had to rem oil it every time I used it even after cleaning it. Broke it down cleaned it again but this time I used Mobil One 10w-30 on bolt slides and fixed it. That was last season haven't had an issue since.

I've sent mine back to browning twice already and will be sending it back again this year. Multiple issues that they have acknowledged and replaced parts to correct. But I tell everyone don't be discouraged by my experience. It's still imo the best shooting waterfowl gun on the market. And I will buy another one someday if I need to. Definitely buy one. Mine is from the first yer they came out btw.

I also lent it to Garrett after I got it so he probably trashed it so I can just as easily blame him as anyone. Bad dog.

I love mine. The barrel takes some force to pull off the receiver but its not to bad.

Mine is bad. It does not cycle worth a @@##. I love shooting it, but can't seem to get it to cycle. Might try that Mobile One.

Cheers to Family, Friends and Ducks
