Finally getting out to the ranch this weekend. Anyone hunt in this area? My ranch is about 8 miles outside of Nixon. How are the deer moving lately? Have they started showing signs of rut? Any info helps! Thanks guys

Welcome, Sandy creek. I wish I could give you more info. Just west of you towards Seguin deer are moving good. The cold upcoming weekend should have deer moving well. Good luck and keep us updated.

We have a yard in Leesville. I am in and out early and late - several folks have feeders right off the highway and I haven't seen much moving.

Somewhat slow here in the Luling area as well. Let's hope the cold gets em moving...

Main rut is over. Was sporadic at best with the weather shifts over the past month. Bucks still scraping and checking does out. Over the past week, noticed more rubs in the pasture. Once this cold front moves in, should improve. Not much movement right now.
