Going to Eagle Lake area Jan2-5th. Can you help me with what shells I should bring for the hunts. I assume we will be hunting decoys. I will be shooting a 12Ga. Thanks for the help.

3" #2's are a good round for geese, that area has gotten a lot of rain and much more coming, so bring waders and stuff to help you stay dry.
dress in layers, if you wearing a heavy coat putting out 1500 rags you going to break a sweat. then when you lay down on the cold ground your going to freeze to death during the hunt with that moisture on you skin. During set up just keep shedding clothes until you don't sweat anymore.
who are you hunting with down there?
Attention rickym, this is not a troll post, just a good hearted fun type of post

BBs or BBBs
As said above, bring waders - the prairie is pretty soggy right now.

I like #4 and #2 s early when and if they decoy. Out to 35 and 40 yards that is deadly on the geeses. Any farther than that I don't go any pellet larger than BB. Find out who you are going with and post it for some review. It makes a difference who you go with.
