Does anybody use it for deer? I heard some guys talking about how good it worked for a deer attractant. Say they have been mixing it with corn or whatever they are feeding. Just wondering if anyone has heard of using it or use it and if they can tell a difference using it.....

I know a couple of things about rice bran. 1. It needs to be stabilized or it deteriorates very quickly. 2. It's high in phosphorus which makes it attractive in phosphorus poor areas. The thing is that, small grains and acorns, are also high in phosphorous so if they are available, bran wont do any good.

for every stereotype there's a prototype don't be the prototype

Rice bran is the main ingredient in C'mere deer. I've mixed that with corn in a feeder before. Not sure if it made a difference as they still come to the same feeder when it's slinging plain corn.

I know a couple of guys who mix a little packet of cherry Kool-Aid with it and they can see the deer who eat when they come out because they have Kool-Aid dust all over their nose. Said they go crazy over it.

Sounds like one of the ingredients in just about every food based attractant at the stores, deer will eat it if they come up on it I do feed some Swamp Donkey and Sugar Beet Crush but there's not really anything that's gonna magically draw deer in if there isn't any around.

We tried it here in E Texas. Deer seemed to like it, but the hogs would not leave until the whole pile was gone. Lol

I've had good luck with it mix it with corn kool aid brown sugar and soy beans for me just pooring it on the ground works best.As far as mixing it with corn in a feeder I just don't think it ll work worth a crap its like taking a handfull of flour and throwing it in the air.

we cut the top open all the way and drag it 10yrs or so..It makes a great feed line//We also do it in areas where there are no feeders..We notice the does eat it religiously pre rut and when the rut is on the bucks come all night and eat it...we have pics of bucks stopping by several times a night during the heaviest rut activity...
