I've spent the last few months browsing forums, this one mostly and archerytalk and the bowhunting bug has officially bitten me. Started shopping and looking for a good bow to start with and from what everyone says, here and other forums...go shoot everything to see what feels right to me...now I'm starting with zero experience so how do I know what "right" feels like. I've shot plenty of firearms so know those pretty well, and think I can learn the archery but want to start off on the right foot. Thank you in advance for any advice or tips.

A bow that feels smooth during the draw cycle, and one you can shoot accurately.

alright, smooth draw...and I can understand the weight feeling "right"...are there cons to buying a used bow...or trading for which I am looking to consider..I know I'll probably have to take a used or (previously enjoyed) as I like to call things, bow to a shop for tuning for my draw length or draw weight.

you have to make sure that the used bow your buying hasnt been dry fired...i always like buying new due to the warranty that comes with most products for added security
