The more I carry this way, the more I like it, except for 1 thing. The holster is to dadgum bulky.
Been checking online for something more forgiving in stature, but not having any luck.
If any of y'all have any recommendations on where to look, I'd sure appreciate it.

I've used Uncle Mike's quiet a bit. They have a strap that goes above your calf and holds the holster/gun up. The other strap holds the gun on the ankle.

For an ankle holster to work I think you need to be a pretty big guy to conceal the gun. I tried one and it just seemed like the bulk was visible. In hot weather there is a problem with concealed carry and wearing just a shirt. You can have a loose shirt worn not tucked in but if you need to wear a dress shirt/tucked in- the only thing I've come up with is an inside the pants type holster worn inside the shirt. I have a waist thong to hold it in place and that and being under the belt works ok. I have to unbuttom one or two buttons to get the gun but I only do this if I'm out late at night or it looks like I might be in a dangerous situation. Not ideal but all I've come up with so far.

I use an ankle holster to carry my Glock 10mm. I don't even know it is there after a while.

I have tried several. I ended up settling with one for my Kel-Tec P3AT that works quite well. Attire matters, too. For example, I wear cowboy boots at work and it's not compatible.

i use the fobus for my M&P .40c, it is bulky but it locks down on the gun good so I don't have to worry about it going anywhere.
what gun are you packing?

I carried in an ankle holster off and on for 25 years... It is tough to pull off all the time, I found myself messing with it as it slid around. The other part was the leg strap in which the velcro would "grab" my pants after standing and let it be known I was wearing something there. It isn't too bad if you wear boots as that helps to break up the bulk.

Renegade Holsters This is the best (and most comfortable) ankle holster I have owned, and I've had a bunch over the years. They are a little more expensive than most but the old axiom "you get what you pay for" is really true with ankle holsters. I have been carrying a Sig P238 daily in one for about three years and wouldn't have anything else.

I've carried in an ankle holster for years. Had a bianchi leather for an alloy framed chief back in the old days. Now have a nylon uncle Mikes for a ruger LCP. Not a huge fan on ankle carry for larger pistols and tactically not a huge fan of ankle carry in general due to how difficult it can be to draw in certain situations. Boot cut blue jeans can be hard to pull up to drae sometimes. Better than nothing and in the old chief special days was a second gun.
I like a glock 19 inside the waistband!
