Ruger is pretty worn out for sure. Mine is Barkley. Pretty original but I didn't come up with it. Bought her started.

New lab is Scout, GSP is Jax. Go for the short one syllable names.

My dogs. Cooter lab , poppet GSP , jake CBR next one will be JP never seen a dog with that name

Vizsla female= Dericks Queen Sophie "Sophie".
Vizsla male (did not plan to keep him- was Sophies pup- so never named him until registered) M&Ms Red One "Puppy". At the vet he is listed under 'Bubbles' because his first collar was lite green and had bubbles on it.

I know a guy that named his yellow & chocolate labs Buddy & Holly Crazy! I also know a Longhorn fanatic that also has yellow and chocolate labs named Vince and Young!

My two labs are Jack and Bailey. My GSP is Pete. Bailey seems to be popular for female dogs.

I have a buddy who knows a guy, whose sister dated an ex NFL players brother, whose neighbor was originally from Louisiana. He named his dogs Phil, Jase, and Willie.
I like spoonie, his humor is dryer than my duck lease.

I named my first dog chip because I won the money to buy him on bodog before they outlawed online poker. His son was named gordo because he was the fattest puppy in the litter. He is the slimmest dog now.

My female lab is Caliber, answers to Cali, Answers best to HERE!!! In Louisiana now and my guides dog is named MUDGE... cant tell me you've heard of a mudge before!

My first black lab was Kingfish, beat that. My current yellow girl is Bee Bee, beat that one too. She had a scrape with a wild hog and had to wear the cone of shame....  Little easier times...

Thats the only good dogs I can remember.
The first few dogs would get out in front of a cubby of Blue Quail and drive them back towards you until they stopped in front of the other dogs. All were Shorthairs, Brittanys, or Pointers.
Im currently out of the bird dog buiseness. Im Waiting for the quail to make a comeback. I dont think it will happen in my lifetime.
I do have a lab that will retreive my dove and ducks named Frank.
I wasn't sure what to do when I started training him. He won't respond to whistles unless im wanting him to come in. He is the only Lab ive seen that will WHOA at a hundred yards and look for hand signals while swimming.

All Bassett hounds should either be named Flash or Fred all other names are unacceptable

Ruger Remi and Drake seem to be the most overused. I have wanted to name a black lab Shithead (shi-thade). My next BLF will be named Bills B J call her Monica.
