Anyone been hunting on ray Roberts lately? I haven't had time to scout the lake and was gonna try and hunt this thanksgiving? Any advice on birds? Are they working at all? Or should I not even waste my time.

Not to lazy. I didn't pick the desk job workin 8-5. I don't have the time like everyone else. But i came for help. If this is all it's gonna be. I'm out. I'll stick to my ponds Sort of confused, you ask about Lake Ray Roberts and I say I'm walking Timber Creek, then you ask about Buck Creek and 922, then seem to decide to hunt ponds because no one is telling you their favorite spots where they have taken to time to scout. It has been miserable up here since Saturday, best time to hunt.

I hear the hunting has been fantastic off the Isle du Bois boat dock. Just bring some bread and pull up a lawn chair.

How long have you hunted local lakes? If it's more than 3 years, then you've noticed the influx of Drake camo and Chevy trucks at the ramps and walk-in sites. Even a dead drunk grandmother with one eye would notice the increasing amount of hunters shooting at fewer ducks. Most of these guys spend a large amount of time and gas scouting and patterning the flights. When you name spots on a public forum, at least 300 people read it. Even if half of them hit the spot you named, it will be trashed and shot out in 2 weeks.

I agree MBTECH85. go hunt it and have a good time. the lake is open to anyone willing and able. I cant stand all the negativity that comes with people bashing someone for naming a lake.

Has anyone tried on 922 or buck creek? Naming a lake is bad bad enough, naming walk in locations is even worse. On the other hand I hunted there two weekend ago and there was no water and 7 boats within 100 yards of each side of me and I didn't see a single bird.
