Most of the guys on our 3000 acre place are staying home due to road conditions this weekend through Monday. Any updates on deer movement by locals would be appreciated.

I'd think that they'd move with any break this weekend. Nothing on Thursdsy and nobody saw anything today. It'll be cold and might warm up to 35 this afternoon. Sunday will be worse weather than what we've seen this far.

Yes sir. Another round of precipitation just started in central Eastland county. I couldn't sleep so I headed out and going to light up the heaters. I hunt behind the house so I won't be able to report how the roads are....but I'll guess they're slick.

I made it out, if for anything just to enjoy the season, and it was more slushy than anything walking down here. It's lightly raining right now and temp in the blind when I got here was right at 32.....hopefully I can prove on that.

West of Breck saw one buck chasing hard and another checking does, I've seen 7 deer this morning

The radar looks like the precip has passed but forecast calls for 100% until 1600 this evening. Cold and windy. Hanging on at 32 degrees. Haven't seen anything in two days.

Was out on Sat and saw a lot of deer moving. Rut is definitely on, saw breeding taking place. Had to go home Sat night, would of loved to stay.
South west of Breckenridge.

Buddy on our lease just outside the West edge of Breckenridge has been there since yesterday afternoon. He says deer are really moving, been seeing a lot of does, and bucks chasing them. Rut is definitely on right now. Cant wait til Wednesday when I can get there.

Just saw the first deer since Thursday here in central Eastland county. If you're hunting around here, you'd better be ready....bucks aren't stopping for much of anything.

It picked up a lot around 5:30.... I had to catch a doe with 150 grains just like Ron White's cousin: "right above the eye".

I saw a lot of chasing tonight with multiple bucks, maybe 3.5, and one looked older didn't get a prolonged look. Couple spikes and one with right side broken off although he looked 2 1/2! Lets call it "Fast and Furious", the good kind!
