I got done from work a wee bit early and thought I'd try my chances. With rain (which is here now) and an arctic front moving in tonight, I figured this has all of the makings of a good evening.

So far just a slow, steady rain. I hope the storms hold off until after dark.

No rain on my honey hole on Brown/Eastland Co line. No deer here yet either. Saw a stud dogging some ladies on a HF place just north of me on the way in tho.

It is still raining but it has eased up now. For a sexing I thought I was going to have to move to high ground. Now we're talking.

Just a light sprinkle now.....and prime time. Here we go, boys.

Nice view Novemberyet , looks like a good setup. Do you have a feeder or any corn spread down road?
I stayed in this evening but plan to go tomorrow am. The next few days should be good.

No corn there but a couple of heavy trails crossing the opening.

Ahead of the front... Ahem. The front is here. Temps just dropped about 10 degrees and the wind is knocking at the north front door now.

I am just like every day! It's still warm here no rain yet no deer either but still 30 min of light left I'm ready for the cold I'm sick of hunting in the heat.

We own the property and shooting lanes are hard to come by. For the neighborhood fence line hunters: don't start licking your chops....it's our fence.

The resident owl just made his fly by. Nightfall is not far away.

Well the front is HERE!!! And here with a vengeance. Much cooler out of the north and I'm snug at home.

it hasnt hit in ozona yet but certainly looking forward to it. Rattled in a young 6 this evening but that was about it.
